At AirSox we only use top quality Polyester and Trevira CS weaves that have been heat set to guarantee a permanently fixed permeability. Alongside our long term weaving partner we have been able to set our material quality standards at the highest level by investing in unique, software controlled, heat setting equipment. This is the only machinery of its type in Europe.

Our unique heat setting treatment ensures that the threads comprising the weave fuse together and remove the possibility if weave ‘drift’. This makes our material significantly stronger and ensures that our ducts will maintain their designed permeability wash after wash, year after year.

The material we use for all of our ducts has a heavy weave. Only with a heavy weave are we able to achieve a very high DHC (Dust Holding Capacity). Most AirSox competitors use a low cost flat weave material type. Flat weave materials can suffer from permeability drift & have less inherent strength compared to our heat set heavy weave materials. The DHC value is also of high importance because it affects the cleaning cycle of the fabric system. Our heat set heavy weave material has much more thread content & a larger surface area. This helps to spread the dust arriving with the supply air across more of the duct surface, leading to less operational issues and longer periods between washing cycles.
